"Soul Searching"
An audio-visual experience
through generative art
"Soul Searching" is an audio-visual experience created to immerse the viewer into many stages of discovery. The purpose of the artwork is to resemble the many phases of introspection, while the soundscape provides calm and meditative sounds to allow for a better focus and create a safe space to sit and enjoy every part of the short film.
The artwork was created using Touchdesigner and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
\Artist note
I didn't rush to create a score for the 15 minute composition before the final export of the artwork. I decided to have a different approach since the video was going to be projected in open spaces with different environments.
I wanted to make sure that the music is incredibly connected with the user's visual experience, and that the music is amplifying the immersive experience rather than controlling it.
Choosing the colors has been one of the easiest tasks while connecting the movement of the elements with how much light was going to alter the focus of the users was my main priority.
The beauty of the generative art lies in the randomness of the computer generated noise, while my job as a visual designer is to make sure that every noise pixel is carefully mastered into many captivating patterns and ideas.
